Thanksgiving 01'

Let's take a look at a short diary about my Thanksgiving here!

This year, I have spent my thanksgiving holiday with the Grotefendt family (Jill's family). Jill is my friend from the IE department and has also graduated with her Master Degree at the same time as I did . She is a very sweet girl and is from Longview, Texas, a very peaceful town in the Northern part of Texas.

During the stay in Longview, we've done a lot of cool things. I'll try to display some of them here and let you share the happiness.

I think we've done something that a traditional American family would do -- Christmas Tree Hunting. First, we drove to a very big Christmas Tree Farm. Take the Hayride to the desire part of the farm. Everybody looked for a good tree and had a little discussion about getting which one. When it came to a conclusion , we started sawing it down . Then we brought our tree home and started decorating it . Done!

Other than the Christmas tree, Jill's parents, Rande and Judy, also made some new decorations from clay pots. Rande painted some big pots and made 2 handsome-looking soldiers (Jill's sister Cathy finished the faces for them). Judy painted some very tiny pots and made a lot of extremely cute little Santa ornaments.

Very cool, isn't it? Here I would like to thank y'all (the Grotefendts) for giving me such wonderful memories and I'll go to Longview and visit you guys again later!
