New York City

New York City is the last stop of my roadtrip. You could definitely feel the metropolitan air of this world class city. In fact, you could actually smell the air. New York smells! Other than that, it is really a fabulous city. There is really something that makes this city shines so bright, it may be its culture, its life style, its traffic, its entertainment, its people, its crime, or everything!

Let's have a quick peek on this wonderful city.

Left: The Chrysler Building. A good picture~ Huh?!

Right: The Statue of Liberty. Even though it's not open to the public now, it's still pretty nice to be able to check it out closely. She actually has very neat hair-style.

Left: Ellis Island, the immigration port that handled immigrants from all around the world between 1892 and 1924. More than 1/2 of the present American can find their ancestors' name here.

Right: In the Metropolitan Museum of Art, they have a lot of Armor Displaying.

Left: United Nation Headquarter is located in NYC. The area included in the fence is considered as international territory instead of US territory.

Right: This chart shows how much money is spending on weapons compare to other things like fighting of disease, or education in the whole world. This is kind of sad.

Left: This is Josephine. She's a friend of mine from Hong Kong and went to Albany, New York for some Law Exams. I spent 2 days with her in NYC. We took this picture in Times Square right after we watched the Broadway Show "The 42nd Street". It was a spectacular show! Very nice! Thanks Jo for lining up for the tickets!

Right: This is Anne, a friend of Jo's friend. We watched "The 42nd Street" together.  A very sweet girl from New York City. And her sister goes to Texas A&M in College Station! It's a small world afterall.

Left: In Times Square, there's everything happening. Here's a Camera-man from Eyewitness New shooting something. I took a picture of him and he complained that I didn't let him pose. So this is the 2nd picture I took with him well posed.

Right: A street Hip Hop dancer in Times Square.

Left: Does anybody watch the show "TRL" in MTV? So here is the site in Times Square. I think I just missed the show on Friday afternoon. I didn't get to scream there like all teenagers do. Haha!

Right: Does this picture look familiar for all of my fellow Hong Kong friends? It's actually a Jewelry Shop in China Town, NYC. It just like those we have in Hong Kong, isn't it? Not just that, the China Town in NYC does smell like some places in HK too. As they have fresh fruit stores, Chinese Herbal stores, seafood stores, etc.

This is the Ground-zero site for the World Trade Center Towers. Everything is pretty much cleared for now. They still keep the cross made from debris in the middle of the site.
